Arctic Bird Dog Association would like to invite members and prospective members to meet and work with their dogs at our leased training and event facility. Our Family Day event gives new and prospective members an opportunity to meet and mingle with club veterans and get an introduction to some of the resources available to members. In the scheduled demonstrations you will see what can be expected of finished dogs of pointing and flushing breeds.  It is also a great opportunity to see different breeds of pointing and flushing dogs. If you are considering a new dog or puppy, this event may help you find the breed you like!

    Activities will include:
    • Hunting test demonstrations with flushing and pointing breeds
    • Training tips on handling dogs for AKC hunting tests and for hunting wild birds
    • Chukar partridges will be available to purchase for training at the event

    Fees:

    • $10 activity fee includes lunch for 1 person
    • $5 fee for each additional member of the party (children 6 and under free)

    Birds are available:

    • Members who wish to have birds for the event but did not participate in the annual ABDA bird purchase program can order up to 3 birds in the event registration process
    • Members who preordered birds through the annual bird program may order up to 3 additional birds in the Family Day registration process or may request delivery of some of their preordered birds by following the 2018 bird program's procedure for ordering birds for pickup
