Arctic Bird Dog Association would like to invite members and prospective members to meet and work with their dogs at our leased training and event facility. Our Family Day event gives new and prospective members an opportunity to meet and mingle with club veterans and get an introduction to some of the resources available to members. In the scheduled demonstrations you will see what can be expected of finished dogs of pointing and flushing breeds. It is also a great opportunity to see different breeds of pointing and flushing dogs. If you are considering a new dog or puppy, this event may help you find the breed you like!
Introductions & Safety Meeting 9:30 am
Activities will include:
- Hunting test demonstrations with flushing and pointing breeds
- Training tips on handling dogs for AKC hunting tests and for hunting wild birds
- James (our ABDA President) will be hosting the main course, but would appreciate side dishes, salads, desserts (Potluck style)
Fees:
- $10 activity fee includes lunch for 1 person
- $5 fee for each additional member of the party (children 6 and under free)
- PLEASE PAY ONLINE USING YOUR CREDIT CARD OR PAYPAL ACCOUNT. If you don't have a PayPal account, there's an option at the bottom of the payment screen to use a credit card.
Birds may be available:
- Chukar partridges (3 bird max at $26 per bird) might be available for purchase for training at the event. (Cash or check please.)
- Members who pre-ordered birds through the annual bird program may request delivery of some of their pre-ordered birds by following the 2024 bird program's procedure for ordering birds for pickup, if they are available.
