Arctic Bird Dog Association
A Non-Profit AKC Licensed Club
Welcome to the Arctic Bird Dog Association (ABDA)
ABDA is comprised of a diverse group of people who enjoy working with well bred pointing and spaniel breeds as they hunt field and forest in search of upland game birds. We strive to bring out the best in our hunting companions through interaction and training while relying heavily on fellow club members as we share our ideas and training techniques.
We have a lot of helpful information to offer on our website, so please feel free to browse through to learn more about us. We are always looking to network with new members and if you are interested you may Contact Us or fill out a new Membership Application.

Novice Bird Dog Class
We hold annual introductory Novice / Puppy classes for those interested in the basics of training for upland bird hunting and American Kennel Club hunting tests.
We cover basic commands and obedience needed in the field. We’ll introduce basic training equipment and its uses, training sequences, methods and suggested resources for continued training.
Chukar Challenge
We offer multiple versions of the Chukar Challenge including “Classic” and “Master”. We also have those events separated by Pointers and Spaniels.
This is your chance to work your dog on some good flying chukar partridges and hone your shooting skills in a fun and competitive event.

Our AKC licensed hunting tests are open to all AKC registered pointing and flushing breeds.
Classes are offered for Junior Hunter, Senior Hunter, and Master Hunter.
These hunting tests are held under the rules and procedures of the American Kennel Club (AKC).
