AKC Spaniel (Flushing Breeds) Hunting Tests

Open To All AKC Registered Flushing Breeds. A complete list of eligible breeds can be found at the AKC website HERE. Eligible breeds that have been granted Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) are eligible to enter. All dogs must be 6 months of age or older on the day of the hunting test.

Note: these are separate events for registration purposes. Click event number to download test premiums when they are available. The events will be held 9 AM to 5 PM at Pt. Mackenzie Farms. Ducks may be used for the Senior/Master Water Tests, TBD. For training purposes, frozen ducks are available for sale ($35 each, max 1 per member for now). For information, email Ryan Mahoney.

We won’t take a break for lunch; lunch will be in the field during the events. Possible pot luck Saturday evening!

BIRDS Chukar, pigeon, and/or pheasant shall be used in the land series of Junior, Senior and Master Hunting Tests. Ducks may be used in the water tests.

These Hunting Tests are held under the Rules and Procedures of the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB (AKC). Tests are open to all AKC registered pointing breeds, including those that have been granted Indefinite Listing Privileges (ILPs).

RUNNING ORDER:

Dogs may be run in an order different from the order in which they are drawn when, in the opinion of the Judges or Hunting Test Committee, such will result in a reasonable and desirable saving of time or in the conduct of the event. This provision does not apply to late arrivals..

PRIZES:

Standard AKC Ribbons to all dogs receiving a qualifying score.
